Magpie Model Horses began in 1971 as Dream Ponies, a product of Swallow Horsetoys; Dream Ponies became Magpie Models in the late 1980s and was renamed Magpie Model Horses after a change of ownership in 2015. Magpie Model Horses is one of the few remaining British model horse companies which formed the foundation of the model horse hobby in the UK.

Though the company has traveled around the country, Magpie Model Horses are still created right here in the UK. Each model is assembled and painted by hand, ensuring that no two models are exactly alike. The attention to detail and high standard of work elevates these models to true collectibles.

Magpie Model Horses are not intended as toys and are unsuitable for children under fourteen.
